The inspiration for many of my paintings are my travels to tropical islands like Hawaii, the Cook Islands, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. I hope to portray a sense of natural serenity found in Earth's beautiful places and people. 2003  Juan O'Riley's, one man show .

I travel often to work in the field and gather new inspiration from the colorful cultures of the tropics. My main area of interest currently is the folk dances of Mexico and Polynesia.
